Most messages we receive are bug reports in disguise: a gesture that stopped firing, an icon pack that renders half its icons unmasked, a launcher that redraws every time you come back from the camera. We read all of them, and the detailed ones genuinely shape what we test next. A vague “it doesn’t work” helps nobody; a precise report usually points straight at the cause, and often ends up as the seed of a fix article credited to a reader’s observation.

What to Include in a Report

The closer your message matches the list below, the faster we can reproduce the problem on a lab device instead of guessing:

  • Phone model — the exact model, not just the brand. A Galaxy A-series and a Galaxy S-series phone run the same skin with very different memory behaviour.
  • Android version and OEM skin — for example Android 15 with One UI 7, or Android 14 with MIUI 14. Gesture navigation and battery management differ sharply between them.
  • Smart Launcher version — found under the app’s settings, at the bottom of the main settings page. Behaviour changes between builds, and a menu path that moved in an update is one of the most common report types we get.
  • Icon pack name and version, if your issue involves icons, masking, or badges.
  • The exact symptom — what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. “I double-tap, the screen dims but doesn’t lock” is actionable; “gestures are broken” is not.
  • What you already tried — restarting the launcher, clearing cache, re-granting a permission. It saves us suggesting the steps you have already ruled out.

Response Times and Scope

We answer most messages within two working days, in the order received. Please understand what we can and cannot do: we can explain settings, reproduce issues, and correct guides, but we cannot recover a lost layout backup, reset a Google account, or fix faults inside Smart Launcher itself — genuine app bugs belong with Smart Launcher Team’s own support channels, and we will point you there when a problem is clearly theirs. We never ask for passwords, payment details, or remote access to your phone, and you should treat any message claiming to be from us that does as fraudulent.
